Went last night with my mother and aunt. The staff was kind and attentive to this pair for of octogenarians. We shares the celebrated bacon jam appetizer and the machego cheese fritters. Both were wonderful. The ladies had the scallop and shrimp grill and I had the lamb chops, which were grilled to perfection. The wait staff were very helpful in answering our questions and describing the items on the menu which was very interesting. The dining room was not very crowded so it was easy to talk and hear ourselves. The decor was cozy, the portions of food good sized and the prices reasonable. I was very happy with the place and gladly recommend it.

SMOKE is probably my favorite restaurant in Tulsa now that White Owl is shuttered. It’s a steakhouse that serves food mainly grown/raised in Oklahoma. As any hyperbole of “best” regarding steaks can be seen as a put-down of other fine steakhouses in Tulsa (and we have many) I will simply say that SMOKE serves my favorite steaks.

Generally speaking, SMOKE is an upscale place for its city. There are a few places nicer/more $$$ than SMOKE, but you’d insult no date/guest/family by taking them down to Cherry Street and this fine establishment, which is located where Bourbon Street Cafe used to be. The food, service, ambiance, walk-in humidor and decor are top-notch, and having eaten there two dozen times or so since it opened, I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience there.

I tend to lunch here more than supper - supper at SMOKE for me is reserved for when old friends are in town or a special occasion, like going to the ballet or a concert. The lamb sliders are outstanding, and the fish and chips are perfectly workable for the hard-to-please. As a rule, you cannot go wrong if you eat at SMOKE. If you are staying in South Tulsa, it is worth the 15 minute drive to the Cherry Street district to eat here, and then pop in to Drake’s Tavern next door afterwards for a pint and some banter with the lads.

Today I did lunch there and had the burger, something I’ve not had before. It’s an excellent burger, the most unique flavor of a burger I’ve had in town (I still think the burgers at The Brook in Brookside are the best burgers in Tulsa, the only burgers I’ve had to rival Snuffers in Dallas). It comes with their fries, which I assume are hand-cut, and their unique ketchup, which is similar in flavor to the organic ketchup they serve at Cafe Nova in Bozeman, MT. Your mileage will vary depending on if you like ketchup to taste exactly like Heinz - it’s spicier and a little thinner, and I happen to prefer this variety over the more popular versions.

The service was top notch today, as it usually is. They didn’t have a bartender working, but there were a few people sitting there so one particularly stellar service was helping us out as well as some people on the floor. Servers are courteous without being overly-friendly, conversational without being unprofessional, and knowledgeable about the food they are serving, which is always welcome.

There are maybe a half-dozen can’t-miss restaurants in Tulsa, places that will bring it whether day or night, lunch or dinner, Tuesday afternoon or Saturday night. SMOKE is one of those places, and their business is mos-def a worthy one. I don’t usually review Tulsa stuff since i actually live here, but they deserve a better rank than 38th - they’re a top 10 Tulsa restaurant, and I say that not knowing who owns it, who runs it, who cooks there or anyone who works there. Just a fan, nothing more.

Been here a few times. The gnocchi was out of this world. They have a good bar and great wines also. Had a few weird things on the menu from time to time that I wasn’t sold on, but there are for sure some great ones. Good place for a dinner date, not too loud, in a cool part of town on Cherry St aka 15th.

Order anything that has their gravy on it. The biscuits and gravy are the best I have ever had. Once it came out cold. Sad. But the 6 other times I have eaten here it was AMAZING. Pork lion breakfast, petite steak breakfast, are also fantastic!

Great place. One of the best restaurants in Tulsa. The service is excellent as well. This place has the best burger in Tulsa. Their drink selection is also great, and everything is made with the perfect flavor in mind.

I would highly recommend coming ere for any meal. They do great brunch, lunch, and dinner menus. Favorite restaurant in Tulsa, hands down.

Excellent in almost every aspect. For the quality, the prices are lower than they would be if this restaurant was in a larger market. Our party ordered basically everything on the menu: Pork tenderloin, gnocchi, shrimp and salmon, lamb loin chops, pork belly salad, and the quail legs, flatbread, rillette, and bacon jam appetizers. Every item we tasted had a great flavor and most of them were very unique.

The service was great, quality outstanding, and the ambiance was really top-notch. Would love to return.

The menu has some delectable offerings such as bacon jam served with a creamy goat cheese spread and crostini. We even ordered some to take home. Their crab cake appetizer was crunchy deliciousness with a spicy bite. I ordered the lamb chops which were tender and cooked perfectly. It was served with sausage, white beans and kale. I always have their romaine salad which is seared on the wood fire for a moment and had a smoky taste. The service was excellent including the hostesses who graciously changed our table at the last moment.

I would easily rate Smoke one of the top ten best restaurants in Tulsa for lunch and dinner. It is consistently fabulous and has a very nice menu selection. The service is always fantastic as is the ambience.

I have had several business lunches at Smoke and always liked them, however late last week my wife and I ate there as part of a date night. She had the Salmon and I had the Ribeye Steak. They were both cooked perfectly. The side salads we got were excellent also. We both had cocktails from the bar and they also were done very well. The service was non-obtrusive but attentive. In short we had a great time and I expect we will be back.

Came back to Smoke because my sister and I had bought the LivingSocial deal for the Chef’s tasting menu.

Everything was delicious. I really liked how the chef used the juxtaposition of flavors to enhance what was being eaten (the sweet cranberries to cut the bitterness of the endives, the spiciness of the chimichurri sauce to enhance the smokiness of the grilled salmon, etc). Everything was also cooked really well. The salmon was moist and the steak medallions were medium rare like I requested.

Service was fast and efficient with the waitress bringing out each course promptly.

If there’s another deal on the Chef’s tasting menu, you better believe I’ll be all over it.

I would put Smoke’s food up against any restaurant in NYC, Chicago, Philly, LA, Las Vegas, you name it. Steaks are superb. Flavors from grilling and sauces are to die for. The hamburger is “the hamburger” death row inmates would order as their final meal-trust me! The people are so friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable. Bacon Jam Bruschetta is insanely delicious. Smoke you have to start shipping your food around the world.
